CORE (CAPS Mobile Compassionate Response)

COmpassionate REsponse (CORE) team is a new CAPS program that will provide mental health response to students in crisis on campus. The CAPS CORE Clinicians can deliver behavioral health wellness checks, crisis support, and intervention services to registered UCLA students within the perimeters of the Westwood campus.

Details

CORE provides crisis resolution and mental health relief to students on campus. Services include telehealth and on-site screening, assessment, stabilization, de-escalation, follow-up, coordination of other healthcare supports. CORE resources include:

  • Compassionate Crisis Response: Specialty de-escalation and trauma informed services to reduce unnecessary law enforcement involvement and emergency department utilization.
  • Field Based Services: Swift deployment to campus locations, including classrooms, residence halls and recreational settings to make sure the student is safe and well.
  • After Hours Care: Responsive support during evening hours. Please visit website for daily schedule and availability.
