Peer Assistance and Wellness Support (PAWS) is a group dedicated to improving the experiences of students at UCLA through peer counseling. PAWS offers confidential and private one-on-one sessions for those seeking a peer who will listen to concerns, help clarify thoughts, and work on overall well-being.

As a currently registered UCLA student, you are welcome to seek support through PAWS.

  • Find information about becoming a counselee here at PAWS here.
  • Once you sign up to see a counselor, someone will contact you via your preferred method to set up a meeting.
  • All sessions are confidential and private.
  • The first session typically involves learning more about you and your concerns. Some common concerns or topics that arise are roommate problems, academic stress, career goals, and homesickness.
  • Each counselor will have input from faculty members.
